TikTok and Douyin are related short-video platforms, but their links and content systems are not interchangeable. Two posts showing similar footage may yield files with different resolution, compression, duration, overlays, audio, or metadata. A downloader can retrieve only the representations exposed for the supported public item; it cannot recreate the creator's original camera file or guarantee a match between platforms.
Written descriptions, hashtags, comments, interactive stickers, product elements, and accessibility information may belong to the webpage rather than the saved media. If those details matter to a permitted archive, record them separately and state which platform and post they came from. Respect account and regional boundaries
